Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. It is well known for the great red spot, which is in fact a storm in the atmosphere. The storm swirls like a typhoon, and has been raging for centuries. It circles the sun once every 12 years, and emits more radiation on it's own than it receives from the sun. It has 16 moons that orbit it, forming something of a mini solar system. It is associated with the king of the Roman gods, Jupiter, also known as Zeus to the Greeks.
